When we were contacted to see if Calm Air would partner with Danica’s Village, an organization founded by the family of Danica deLaroque, a young girl who died in Churchill last year, we didn’t hesitate to get involved.
Calm Air has donated space for nearly 8,000 pounds of donated food, toys, and necessities that were transformed into Christmas hampers at our Thompson, MB facility before being shipped to Churchill this week. The deLaroque family has collected supplies for over 100 hampers for families in need and will be hosting a community feast for 500 residents in Churchill. Calm Air also donated space in our Churchill facility to store, sort and build the hampers.
