Position Title:    Cleaner
Location:            Baker Lake, NU
Status:                Full Time
Start Date:         Immediately

Position Summary:

The Baker Lake Crew House Cleaner is responsible for ensuring our crew and employee facilities remain clean and disinfected including providing turn down service in all bedrooms as well as general housekeeping duties.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide turndown service in all bedrooms
  • Wash all linens after use
  • Disinfect and clean bathrooms and kitchen area
  • Tidy and clean any common areas
  • Vacuum/Dust entire house
  • Complete all required training through Pelesys training system
  • Ensure sanitization of all services and common areas
  • Other duties as required

Hours of Work:

  • Shift work is required and may include mornings/afternoons, evenings, and weekends

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) an asset
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Ability to work efficiently and with minimal supervision
  • Must have own transportation to and from work
  • High attention to detail required
  • Ability to take initiative as well as follow direction when required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Enhanced Security Clearance qualification
  • Inuktitut language considered an asset
  • Preference will be given to Inuit Land Claims Beneficiaries
